‘The Helpful Robot’ is Seventeen, a lanky robot created by the closet inventor, Professor Pui. The inventor’s untimely demise however prompts Seventeen’s journey into the world to help those in need, only to be shunned at every turn by the very Malaysians he was created to aid.
An unexpected accident lands him fortuitously in the workshop of Joe, a boy mechanic, who helps him find his feet again (with some clothes tossed in). Revitalised, Seventeen takes to the streets once more; where before he was rejected, he’s now embraced, and he sets forth across the land, to lend a hand, wherever he can.
